For me as a real fan that was just charming to read that review and sad that I can’t visit it now.
Waiting for even more reviews from you, I know that they will be as good as this one.

It was big mistake to think there would be any poetry or evocation of Ovid’s work.
The play was hectoring, jeering, with no historical sense. They seemed to use the stories to belittle Ovid and make, in context, crass statements about how unfair the gods were, and how abusive they were. I tried to listen, hoping the next story would be interesting. It wasn’t. I was again listening to a distortion. It was torturing me to hear it.
Fortunately I was on the end of a row and near the door. I left after half an hour.
