I agree with Joe. Back in Shakespeare’s a woman losing her virginity before marriage was simply out of the question, this was mainly due to the religious influence or that time. Way back in the day, women were even killed if they were unfaithful to their husbands. So even though things are different, the context of this play holds true because of the time period it was written in. If you reread the book jose, you will understand it better.
