Albany is the husband of Lear’s eldest daughter, Goneril, and becomes ruler of half of England when Lear passes on the government of the realm to his daughters and their husbands.

It has more clarity and adds important details not contained in other reviews even though it is no longer than the others. Excellent summary. Thanks!

Well the plot is that of Lear and his loss of power, but there are many subplots. The largest is arguably Edmund’s attempt to win his fathers favour and get rid of Edgar. These are mentioned in the summary and exist in the play.
