My in-depth genealogy says that Agnes Hill was previously Agnes Webb, and she had her several children of Hill, that are clearly known. Robert Arden had no children by Agnes. Mary Arden had his son of William Shakespeare by Robert Arden. –Myreen Moore Nicholson

In reply to Bobby R Chapman. My in-depth research also shows the grandmothers were sisters. Agnes Hill had been married previously, had children, and the last research I did showed Agnes Hill as Shakespeare's mother's step-mother. His mother, Mary Arden, was the youngest child of Robert Arden. --Myreen (Rennie)

My research of the Webbs of Warwickshire (http://webb.skinnerwebb.com/) show that his grandmothers on both father and mother’s side were sisters and daughters of Sir John Alexander Webb.
