Study.com includes a great section on test preparation for higher education to help students understand areas that need development. On this note, the website also has a degree section where you can search for which educational institutions offer specific courses you might be interested in pursuing.
The downside of all this great content is that very little of it is available for free. There’s one standard subscription of $30 per month to unlock full access or a one week trial available for $6.
Shakespeare On Study.com
With so much content on Study.com finding something specific can seem a little overwhelming at times. There doesn’t appear to be a Shakespeare-specific section on their site or any structure to drill into different aspects of the Bard.
However, a search for “Shakespeare” in their search box brings back around 100 articles, each of which contains a nice mix of multimedia content – text, quizzes videos, and suggested homework help topics. As with the rest of the content on the site, a taster of each article is offered for free, and access to the entire Shakespeare article requires a paid subscription.
About Study.com’s Website
Study.com is, without doubt, one of the largest players in the online education and study guide space – both in their literature offering and the many other subjects they cover.
Their website currently receives over 30 million visits each month, with website users spending close to two minutes on average reading 1.75 pages each visit.
Almost 55% of their users come from the United States, with other English-speaking countries such as India, Canada, and the United Kingdom making up the bulk of the remaining users. One interesting geography to note is that the Philippines is their second-largest market, accounting for over 5% of their website visitors.
Study.com In Their Own Words

What Do NoSweatShakespeare Offer?
Our mission is to help everyone understand Shakespeare’s language.
Much like No Fear Shakespeare, we offer a broad range of Shakespeare resources. Our free resources cover everything from play and sonnet translations to in-depth looks at characters, play summaries, themes, settings, and significant and famous Shakespeare quotes from all of his works
We also have lots of general information about Shakespeare’s life, family, homes in London and Stratford, theatres, and use of language. Plus we have a Shakespeare blog that covers some of the fun and modern-day takes on the Bard of Avon.
And last, but certainly not least, we offer a range of NoSweatShakespeare ebooks. These stem from a realisation that although so much good work has been done on textual aspects and the broad grasp of plot, few resources are available to give students a complete grasp of the complexity of a whole Shakespeare text in one short reading. (See samples of Shakespeare’s plays as modern English ebooks.)
That’s our review done of what Study.com has to offer the online Shakespeare ecosystem. What are your thoughts – have you used them before and have an opinion?
